What we collect, and what we don’t.
Short, because there isn’t much to say. We collect only what you choose to send us, we don’t set tracking cookies, and we’ve never sold anyone’s data.

What we collect, and only when you give it
The only personal information this website collects is what you type into the enquiry form: your name, the way you’d like to be reached (a WhatsApp number or an email address), what your business sells, and how enquiries currently reach you.
Four other places take only what you choose to send: a WhatsApp message to us (more on that below), a pitch or a draft sent through the blog’s write-for-us page, your email address if you ask the blog to email you new posts, and an address you type into one of our free tools.
There is no account to create and no hidden field. If you don’t send us anything, we don’t collect anything that identifies you.
What we do with it
We use it to reply to you and to prepare for the first call. That is the entire purpose. We do not sell it, rent it, share it with advertisers, or add you to any marketing list you didn’t ask to join.
Your submission goes from your browser to Web3Forms, a form delivery service, which emails it to us. It is stored in our email inbox. It is not stored in any other database, and this site has no server of its own that sees it. An email address you give the blog’s new-posts signup travels the same way, and we use it only to tell you when a new post goes up.
A pitch or draft sent from the blog is stored in Sanity, the service our blog is written in, so we can read it and reply. Web3Forms then emails us your name and the topic or title, so we know it has arrived; the rest stays in Sanity. An address you give a free tool is used to run that check and is not saved. The website audit’s deeper checks also send it to Google PageSpeed, Mozilla’s HTTP Observatory and the public domain registry, as the tool says on the page.
Analytics, and the cookies we don't set
We count page views and see which buttons get clicked with our own simple counter, which runs on Cloudflare, the network this site is hosted on. For each visit it records the page, the name of the site that sent you (like google.com), the country the request came from, and the button if you clicked one. It never records your IP address, it does not fingerprint your device, and it does not follow you to other websites.
Because of that, this site sets no tracking cookies and shows you no cookie banner. There is nothing to consent to, which is rather the point.
If you message us on WhatsApp, that conversation happens on WhatsApp and is governed by their privacy terms as well as this one. We keep it in our own inbox, a database hosted by Supabase, with any photos, voice notes or files stored on Cloudflare, so we can reply to you and pick up where we left off.
Deb, our automated assistant, reads new messages so she can answer them, using Google’s Gemini AI. She always says she is automated, and you can ask for a person at any time. We use Gemini’s free service, and Google’s terms for it allow Google to use what it processes to improve its products. If you’d rather a person read your messages from the start, write “human” and Deb steps aside. We don’t use your conversation for anything else.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept while they’re useful: during a conversation, and for our records afterwards if you become a client. If you ask us to delete your information, we delete it, and we don’t ask you why.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be erased. Email hello@debugswift.com and we’ll do it. If you’re in the UK or the EU, these are rights you have under the UK GDPR and the GDPR respectively; we’ll honour them wherever you are.
